About PlastNepal 2018
We take this privilege in bringing to you the second edition of an exclusive Exhibition on plastic in Nepal–’PlastNepal 2018′. After, its huge success in first edition, the second edition of PlastNepal promises more classic Exhibition. The exhibition is scheduled from 5-7 October, 2018 (19-21 Aswin, 2075 B.S.) at BhrikutiMandap, Kathmandu, Nepal.
With the theme as “KNOW YOUR PLASTICS,” it’s our genuine initiation to create a common platform for bringing together all the stakeholders of Nepalese Plastic Industry and to showcase true picture of Plastic, its Industrial growth and its future potential.
PlastNepal 2018 will showcase Raw Materials, Semi-Finished Products, Finished products, Innovative Technologies in Machinery, Equipment and Services related to Plastic Industry. National and International manufacturers, Traders, Service Providers, Experts & Consultants will form a mega trade & information center of exchanging ideas, knowledge and expertise. It will be our presentation of Nepalese plastic industry, where one can deliver opportunities to wider mass of interest groups, business seekers and general consumers.

With over 140 National and International exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors, this is Nepal’s only and most premier platform to showcase your products and services.
Objectives
To create awarness of plastics and its benefit among it’s consumers and respective goverment & public bodies
To develop centre for local manpower training & knowledge for technology & updated advancement in industry
To develop laboratory facility for testing and in future for development and certification.
To promote awareness of 3R ( Reuse, Recycle and Reduce) of Plastics.
To liaise with respective goverment bodies to keep the Plastic Trade Competitive and towards growth (for Import, Domestic Production and Export)
To promote co-operation among persons, firms, companies, factories and associations or Societies connected With the Plastics Industry and Trade in Nepal as producers, manufactures, molders, fabricators, distributors, dealers and technicians with a view to adopting a common policy and collectively taking such steps as may be deemed necessary or expedient to further and safeguard the interests of the industries and trade.

Nepal : Country Profile
Situation :
Nepal, South Asian Landlocked Country between two gaints India on East, South & West and China on North. It is located between latitude 26 degree 22 minutes North to 30 degree 27 minutes North and longitude 80 degree 4 minutes East to 88 degree 12 minutes East. Being land locked country the nearest sea access is about 1150 Km. from the border.
Although a small country Nepal is very rich in Geographical, Cultural and Natural diversity having the width 150-250 Km from north to south and 850-1000 Km from east to west the elevation changes from 100 Metre to 8848 Metre, with more than 125 ethinic groups, diverse culture and diverse nature.

Founder Member of SAARC, SAFTA, BIMSTEC and member of ADB, AIIB , World Bank Non Alligned Movement and United Nations.
Political and Administrative System:
Nepal is governed on the basis of Constitutional Federalism with multi party system . The country is politically divided into three stages of Governments, i.e., Federal, Provincial and Local Levels. It has 7 Pradesh (Provinces) and administratively 77 Districts. In the local level there are753 Local Bodies. Among them there are 460 Gaunpalika ( Villages) , 276 Nagarpalika (Municipalities) , 11 Upa Mahanagarpalika (Sub-Metropolitan Cities) and 6 Mahanagarpalika (MetropolitanCities).
Federal Parliament : House of Representatives 275 and Rastriya Sabha 59 = 334 members.
(House of Representative 165 Directly ecected and 110 proportionately = 275.)
